What happens, by month
The first three months, honestly
Month 01
Setup, baseline, cleanup
Onboarding audit (lighter version of the £250 audit, scoped to what we need to manage you). GBP cleanup. Citation baseline: we catalogue every directory you appear on and flag inconsistencies. Review prompts set up. We pick the keywords we will track.
Month 02
Corrections in motion
Citation corrections submitted (these take 4–8 weeks to propagate at most directories). Monthly GBP post cadence live. First batch of review prompts goes out to your recent customers. We compare current call/enquiry volume to the Month 1 baseline.
Month 03
First report, first iterations
First full monthly report comparing all metrics to baseline. Review prompt copy adjusted if response rate is low. Most citation corrections live by now; we re-verify. Real ranking movement, if it comes, typically shows from this point onward.

About this tier
Will my rankings improve in month 1?
No. Rankings move when the work compounds. Months 1–2 are setup and corrections. Real movement usually shows in months 3–6.
What counts as a 'technical fix' each month?
Broken links, schema markup, redirect chains, missing alt text, single H1 issues, basic page speed (image compression). Anything beyond that is quoted separately so neither side is surprised.
Can I pause the retainer?
Yes. 30 days' notice. Pausing means citation monitoring, review prompts, and reporting stop until you resume. Your GBP stays as-is; we just stop touching it.
